Jharsuguda Airport Gateway to Industrial HUB in Orissa

This is in regard to Airport at Jharsuguda.
As we know the Jharsuguda and neighboring districts are industrial HUB in orissa. We require domestic airport in this area so that this area would be more accessible to industrialist and local people of the neighbouring area who are works in different parts of the country.we have airport in Bubhaneswar so people can reach neighboring costal and eastern districts in couple of hours.In the same line if the jharsuguda Airport comes up we can reach western part of the orissa in couple of hours.
As we know Orissa is rich in natural resources. We have abundance of wide range mineral like coal, iron ore, dolomite, and limestone etc. These natural resources are located in sambalpur, jharsuguda, sundergarh, Talcher and other neighboring district. These natural resources attarcting lots of investment in these areas,but these areas are not well connected with rest part of the country, only way to get in to these areas is railway. Jharsuguda Airport 5 kms from jharsuguda and near to OSAP 2 Btn headquarters.It was built during British rule. It was very secret airstrip at that time to safeguard their fighter plane from the Attack of Japanese. After the independence it is abandoned by the Central Govt for unknown reason.State like kerela has got one international and number other domestic airport, but orissa still struggling with modernization of the BBSR airport. Though Govt. of India and orissa has approved the jharsuguda Airport but renovation of the same is yet to be started. Intention of this mail is to this make all aware of this information.
